Arranging
Transform. Change. Rearrange.
BACKGROUND
My musical journey truly began with arranging. While Kevin Robles Music Company may have started with composition, my personal journey in writing began as an arranger. Back in 2019 and 2020, I was writing marching band charts as a high school student, eager to explore the sounds and creative ideas I can put into my arrangements. That passion for arrangement grew, and I’ve been fortunate to continue honing my craft throughout my career. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with high school and university marching bands, as well as soloists across the Southeastern United States.
SOLo

Arranged in 2022, this project was designed for the advanced marimbist. It was created as a simple tribute to perhaps the greatest love song of all time, Can’t Help Falling in Love. I couldn’t get the melody out of my head and I kept thinking about how beautiful it would sound on the wood that sings.

Arranging for solo instruments requires an understanding of the instrument’s capabilities, range, and expressive potential. I will make sure to translate your chosen compositions into captivating solo arrangements that highlight the instrument, or voice, on which you are performing. I’ve worked with a wide variety of instruments, from piano to strings, from woodwinds to brass, and of course, PERCUSSION! I will ensure that each arrangement plays with the performer’s technical strengths while remaining true to the spirit of the original work. I’ll work closely with you to ensure the arrangement is what YOU want it to be.

Chamber/LARGE ENSEMBLE
-
Arranged in 2023, this piece was made for a college level Wind Ensemble. This arrangement began as an exercise tasked on to me by Mr. Robert W. Smith for a composition lesson. However, it soon became a lot more after that and I ended up arranging the whole work for a Wind Ensemble.

Arranging for these groups involves a deep understanding of orchestration, balance, and the unique characteristics of each instrument within your ensemble. For large ensembles, I have worked on Concert Bands and Orchestras. For chamber music, I can and will work with just about any combination of instruments that gets thrown at me. I will collaborate closely with you to ensure the final product aligns with your vision, while staying true to the original source material.
